AAEON, a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, launches the first IP-65 Embedded Controller, the AEC-6520. As embedded controllers are getting more and more in demand, features such as waterproof and anti-vibration/shock functions seem apparent. The AEC-6520 was not only designed to fit the needs of current market trends, but to be moderately priced.

The AEC-6520 utilizes an Intel Celeron M processor (up to 1GHz), and one DDR SODIMM (up to 1GB). This model is equipped with a DC in power connector, a USB2.0 port, a 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 connector, two COM ports, and a VGA port on the front panel. In addition, the AEC-6520 deploys one internal CompactFlash Socket to enlarge storage capacity.

The key feature of the AEC-6520 is the fanless design. Most of the IPC products in the market do not combine both fanless and IP-65 features into one unit. Surprisingly, the AEC-6520 is capable of both these features in a small, compact design. Another fantastic characteristic of the AEC-6520 is the wide operating temperature range. With all these unique functions, the AEC-6520 is ideal for transportation applications and other harsh environments.

The AEC-6520 has withstood tough vibration testing up to 5G rms and is able to be wallmounted or stand alone. This longevity and high reliability factor in this embedded controller, which is also compatible with Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE, and Linux Red Hat, is ready for diverse applications.
